NewsMail 08

Dear friends and colleagues,
Many greetings from the United Kingdom and The Netherlands!
As of October 2005 Janine Beier has been the editor of the MACESS Alumi NewsMail. Her investment of time and hard work has resulted in a series of interesting and engaging NewsMails. We have taken over the torch and we can only hope that our efforts can produce a similarly attractive
product. We would very much like to thank her for her contributions during the past three years.
Now we would like to invite you to read the 8th issue of our NewsMail. There is lots of interesting information; so get reading already! You will find the first (be it rather short) announcement of a ‘MACESS style’ professional doctorate at London MET. You will also find that your fellow alumni have been writing and publishing articles in Greece, the UK and the Netherlands. Apart from this there is a review of our October meeting and a peek into the future of the course. The future of MACESS involves everyone for whom the course is an important part of their past. We will continue to bring reports on this ongoing process.
Yet this is not all, you can also read about MACESS alumni’s group on Facebook, the bureaucratic, but rewarding journey of a social worker to Wales and a court ruling that will give German students, whishing to study abroad, a helping hand.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this NewsMail and whish all alumni and students the very best!
Kind regards,
Thijs Pieters and Maja Ročak
