Institute for Cultural Diplomacy
It is with great pleasure that I write to you on behalf of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy (ICD) to announce two programs that I believe would be of great interest to your readership. Please find below information on the ICD, and the details regarding our forthcoming congresses: The United States Meets Europe (USAME), and the International Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy 2010.
The ICD is a not-for-profit, international non-governmental organization, based in Berlin, which focuses on the promotion and implementation of cultural diplomacy. The ICD was established to promote global peace and stability through strengthening and supporting intercultural relations at all levels, and has organized seminars, conferences and congresses for the past 10 years to help achieve these goals.
As aforementioned, I'm writing primarily to inform you of our forthcoming events, USAME and the International Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy 2010. As both events would have great relevance to your readership, I would like to inquire whether it would be possible to advertise these events on your webpage. For this reason, I have attached to this email the call for application for the two different events. In return we would acknowledge you as an official partner of the ICD and of these two programs.
In addition to looking in greater detail at the history and development of cultural diplomacy, the next USAME - A Forum for Young Leaders (Washington D.C. & New York City, April 18th - 24th) will look at how the priorities of U.S. foreign policy have changed since the end of the Cold War and are continuing to evolve. This will provide a framework for discussions on contemporary transatlantic relations, and for comparing and contrasting foreign policy priorities in the U.S. and Europe.
Further information on this event can be found on our website.
The International Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy 2010: "Culture, Globalization, and International Relations over the next Two Decades" (Berlin, May 23rd - 30th) is the ICD's premier event and one of the world's leading conferences in the fields of international relations and cultural studies. Held annually in Berlin by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy, the event brings together prominent figures from international politics and business, academia, and the arts to speak to an interdisciplinary audience about a variety of important issues and challenges relating to international politics and culture. This year's International Symposium will focus on the intersection of international political and cultural relations in the context of contemporary globalization, and will attempt to chart the trajectory of this relationship over the next twenty years. Its agenda includes lectures, panel discussions, debates, and cultural activities.
Further information on this event can be found on our website.
